Teaching kids to love & follow Jesus.
Our mission is for kids to experience the joy of the gospel and grow in Christ as they discover truths about God, his Word, his Son, and his love.
Our Values
Gospel-Centered Curriculum
As a Gospel-centered church, we want the Gospel to be at the core of everything we teach, and this includes our children.
We utilize the Gospel Project curriculum which walks kids through the whole narrative of scripture highlighting the primacy of Jesus Christ.
Parent Partnership
We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children and we aim to support parents in that endeavor.
From take home activity pages to weekly emails and our website resource page, we desire to equip parents in the joys and challenges of raising a family that is pursuing Christ’s kingdom.
Clean, Safe, Fun Environment
One of the ways we make space for kids to hear the gospel is by having an engaging space where distractions can be limited and fun can be had. The cleanliness of our classrooms and the safety of our processes contribute to that. If you have any questions about our Kids ministry and protocol, please contact us.
Reopening and House Rules!
It’s time to open our New Kids on the Block Kids Ministry again and welcome all the new families and kids among us! Below I have attached what will serve as the basic cleanliness structure for our family/kids ministry. These set of House Rules will be posted on our website and available via scanner for our parents. We are excited to gather!
New Kids House Rules:
1. Remember, the safest place to worship is still at home.
We are taking every precaution we can to keep your little ones safe, however, home is still the safest place to worship during this time.
2. Let’s keep everyone healthy.
Masks are required at all times for kids 3+.
Kids and volunteers will be temperature checked before entering classrooms.
No food allowed in classrooms.
4. We are keeping everything clean.
We have enhanced cleaning protocols for New Kids on the Block.
Kids will be asked to sanitize their hands 2 times during class.
3. Let’s make sure we have enough space.
Classrooms will be operating to 50% capacity.
Preregistration and/or arriving early is required.
If there is not enough space children will be asked to accompany parents.
5. Not feeling so good? Please worship at home. (see number 1)
Sunday In-Class Particulars:
Each parent will be asked to sign children in via CheckIn Kiosks or Tablet. Associated Sticker and/or Parent Signature will be required.
Each child 3+ will be required to wear a mask, have the temperature checked, and have their hands sanitized upon entering the class.
Each child will be asked to sanitize their hands again halfway through each class time.
Each child should be monitored to ensure spacing. No long times of close contact among children.
Consider creating individual bags of supplies for each child: scissors, markers, glue sticks, etc., to minimize sharing if working on a project for that week's lesson.
If any toy or object goes into the mouth of a child, or needs to be disinfected, it should be placed in the “TO BE CLEANED” bucket.
All loose toys that are taken out of buckets should be picked up and placed in the “TO BE CLEANED” bucket after class.
No food, No diaper changes, No children under the age of 1. If a diaper change, or food/drink is necessary, parents should be notified via text.
If a child becomes too hard to manage with regard to crying or behavior, a parent will be notified in the interest of the child. No child will be forced into any situation. If not willing or disruptive, a parent will be contacted.
BE CLEAN AND HAVE FUN!
Sunday After-Class Particulars:
When a parent picks up their children, ensure each child receives a pump of hand sanitizer on their hands as they leave.
Clean and sanitize all floors in children’s areas post children's class time. Clean every solid surface in your children’s area after class. (Watch Cleaning Video.)
Wipe chairs, tables, centers, counters, door handles, and door frames with a sanitizing formula. (Watch Cleaning Video.)
All toys are available for play each and every week, but should be properly cleaned following each childrens time, which includes placing in the designated “TO BE CLEANED” bucket, and then disinfected outside in the back of the building properly. (Watch Cleaning Bucket Video.)
Only use the number of toys that we can reasonably be expected to clean after each session. If there are too many toys in the room, restrict their use.
Ensure each room: Infants (Tinys), 1-PreK room (Littles), PreK - 5grade room (Bigs) is stocked with sanitizer to have readily available for next week. (If sanitizer is needed, restock the room from the supply closet.)
Volunteers will be required to complete a cleaning checklist after each class and place a cleaned door tag over the door handle of the room. (Watch Cleaned Door Tag Video.)
Volunteers will notify New Kids Leader of the need to purchase spray bottles and/or preferred cleaning solutions for the following week class if necessary.
Volunteers will notify New Kids Leader at any time of any health/safety concerns that should arise.
